Reading now at the ‘fiftyfifty challenge’

What a pleasure it gives me to write about the books I’ve read in the past few weeks.

Adding 5 more titles to the ‘fiftyfifty challenge’ list – and what a journey it was to read these fantastic books.

Stay Hungry Stay Foolish by Rashmi Bansal

Started with Rashmi Bansal’s ‘Stay Hungry Stay Foolish’ and continued reading her second and third, ‘Connect The Dots’ and ‘I Have A Dream’…

Connect The Dots by Rashmi Bansal

Technically, all the books are on the same line, lives of entrepreneurs, their highs and lows in personal and professional life and their story of rising from zero to the top.

I Have A Dream by Rashmi Bansal

Where the first two books talk about entrepreneurs, who made it big on the financial statements, the third book, ‘I Have A Dream’ talks about Social Entrepreneurs. Successful stories about Entrepreneurs, who felt the need to do more about the society is very well drafted in Rashmi’s third book, ‘I Have A Dream’.

The Secret Of Nagas - Second in Shiva Trilogy by Amish T

While I was being enchanted by the Stories of Entrepreneurs by Rashmi Bansal, author Amish also kept the mythology alive in me. ‘The Secret of Nagas’, the second book in Shiva Trilogy by Amish T is a fantastic mix of mythology and urban language! It makes you look at characters like Lord Shiva in a completely different perspective. A book so well written, that it almost has provoked me to get Shiva inked on my body!

Gold Rush by Michael Johnson

Do you what the best way an athlete can pass on his learnings and wisdom to others?

By writing a book! Yes, that’s exactly what Michael Johnson, former Olympic World Record holder did. He penned down his learnings in his book, ‘Gold Rush’, to teach and motivate others how Olympic Champions are made.

This exciting new book is based on Michael Johnson’s own experiences as an iconic four-time Olympic champion, and on the knowledge he has gleaned as a top-class coach and motivational speaker. It also features some exclusive interviews by Olympic legends like Usain Bolt, Carl Lewis, Sally Gunnell, Seb Coe, Daley Thompson and others.

If you get to read this book, go to the middle pages first and see the pictures – you might end up finding Kapil Dev in it 😉

The love for Michael Johnson’s ”Gold Rush’ lead me to pick up another sports book, ‘Dare to Run’ by author Amit Sheth. Just got the delivery of this book today and trust it will be a good read too!

Along with Dare To Run, I will also be reading ‘The Last Lecture’ by Randy Pausch.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

So, technically, I have completed 6 books for the fiftyfifty challenge and the challenge still looks big to complete! 44 books more to Go!!

I trust I will be able to write a blog on 31st December listing all the 50 books read in the fiftyfifty challenge!
